PRODUCTION & DELIVERY

Know what happens
after the order is approved.

Production, inspection, packing and transport are separate parts of an order. Their timing and responsibilities should be confirmed against the supplier, destination and agreed delivery term.

Two different clocks

Production lead time begins from the agreed order-release conditions. Transit time begins at dispatch. Do not combine them into one delivery promise unless the written offer defines both.

01

ORDER CONTROL

Order and revision lock

Confirm the accepted model schedule, approved options, quantities, drawings, labels, document list and any open points before release.

02

ORDER CONTROL

Production planning

The supplier should confirm the production scope and lead-time basis in the order. Production time is not transit time.

03

QUALITY & PACKING

Inspection and records

Agree what checks will be performed, the sampling or inspection basis, and which records can be shared for the specific order.

Review technical evidence
04

QUALITY & PACKING

Packing and identification

Confirm carton or pallet marks, model and quantity labels, export packing, document copies and any customer-specific instructions.

05

SHIPMENT & RECEIVING

Dispatch and transport

Agree the Incoterm, dispatch point, freight responsibility, insurance, export documents and estimated transit separately from production.

06

SHIPMENT & RECEIVING

Receiving and follow-up

At receipt, compare delivered quantities and visible condition with the shipping documents. Installation, commissioning, warranty and after-sales support must be defined in the contract.

INSPECTION

Agree the check before the order.

Specify the inspection point, checklist or acceptance criteria, sampling basis and records required. A general “quality checked” statement does not tell a buyer what was inspected.

DELIVERY & SUPPORT

Write down the hand-off.

Confirm shipping documents, consignee details, freight responsibilities, receiving checks and who handles any installation or after-sales request. This sample does not promise global installation or fixed transit times.
